Raising up a door

How can I raise up a door on a wall?

I have various levels in a house and want to raise up a door to match other doors on the same level.

I have tried moving the door up, but it just seems to make the door taller.

Do I have to split the wall vertically or is there another way of doing it?

Hi,

The best way to do this is to draw a 2 separate walls and put the wall with the door on top of the other wall. The other way is to use the external drop down. Both of these work and are effective.
