Layer naming - for existing vs proposed

Hi,
I am wondering if you could post a tutorial on a logical methodology etc, for using layers in Plusspec.

Some issues which I think would be good to address include:

  • Naming systems for existing vs proposed walls for renovation projects
  • Changing layer name issues
  • I find it less straightforward to use the numbering system than an alphabetical naming system
  • (I was of the understanding that using underscore is obsolete. )
    Thanks

No problems Ian http://youtu.be/fDfZsW2m-Ak

If you are doing a renovation the best way not to include existing in your BOQ is to simply click the existing TAB in the wall tool when you draw it.
You can also do this after by selecting the walls that are existing

You can change your layer names in the layering section of the tool, see demo video

We use number as they are associated with job progress. You can change this yet you will have problems with Scenes :scene-gen: . I suggest you get used to using number as it has inherent effect in other areas. I have explained the logic behind the numbering system and also how to change the name of the layers in the YouTube video above.

I am not sure what you are referring to here?
    Thanks
I hope the video helps you out Ian. Thanks for asking these are good questions.
